Do you Trust or Realise the concept?

It is a very old thing that there used to be a temple in a village. There was a priest in that temple who was a great scholar and gentleman. One day the priest was offering prayers in the temple that suddenly a small dog from somewhere entered the temple.

That small dog looked very hungry and thirsty. The priest took pity and stopped Pooja in the middle and fed the dog food and gave him water. Now the priest again sat down to worship but the dog did not go from there.

The dog shook its tail and tried to sit on the priest's lap. The priest called his disciple and said, Till this worship is done, tie this dog outside with a tree. The disciple did the same.

Now that little dog started living in the temple itself and whenever the priest ji worshiped he would try to sit on the lap and every time the priest ji would get him tied to the tree. Now this sequence started daily.

One day the priest suddenly died. After this, his disciple was made a priest. Now whenever that disciple worshiped, he would tie the dog to the tree. One day an accident occurred that dog also died. Now all the members and disciples of the temple held a meeting among themselves and thought that whenever our Guru used to worship, the dog was tied to the tree.

You would not believe how many priests had died after that and how many dogs had died, but now it had become a tradition. During the puja, the priest used to get a dog tied to the tree.

When a person asked this matter to the priest, he would say that our ancestors used to do the same, it is our tradition.

Friends, in the same way in our society too many such superstitions are practiced. Our ancestors may have done what may have been a specific reason for those things at that time, but today we consider it a tradition.

It is not only a matter of any particular person, but every person in our society definitely believes some superstition and whosoever asks, he says that it is our tradition that we have been here for centuries.
Just put your mind and rise above these orthodox things only then your development is possible.
