| Whether Money is Everything?... |
'Money is not everything but there is a lot.' The intention behind this saying is that people want to understand that money is important but they also want to refrain from showing themselves as money. We all understand this very well that money is everything to a great extent and nothing goes beyond that extent. By the way, it is often said that if money is not there then it is the biggest and if it is, then it is not that big. However, this thing is fully applicable to many other things, even humans, along with money. That is, the importance of what is available is not known until the opportunity to run without it comes.
The simple thing is that our needs are behind valuing money. The nobility of money increases with how big our need is. If we do not have anything to eat, then money can be the biggest thing for us. After this, if we have nothing to wear, then the money comes in front of us with a slightly reduced height. According to the priority of our needs, the height of money also decreases accordingly.
In Indian philosophy, there has always been a tradition of describing money as mud or hand scum. The aim behind this is to make people hard working and self-reliant. If we go back a few decades ago, then it is known that people in India insisted on making food and drink arrangements themselves. Farming, vegetable growing and cow buffalo rearing were the main tasks of the people in the villages. In other cities, kitchen gardens were also seen. This self-determination was to save people from the hypnosis of money.
There is a general opinion about money that not everything can be bought with money. Things that cannot be bought with money also affect the money somewhere.
On the other hand, Western civilizations, instead of having all the work done by one person, have insisted on assigning a special work to each person and gaining expertise in it. This trend increases people's dependence on money. The principle of this system is that a person who knows a particular work will earn money through it and will fulfill the rest of his needs from it. This principle is both correct and convenient to a great extent. In order to be self-reliant instead of expertise, it is necessary for a person to have multiple resources at the same time. For example, if someone has land, then only he will be able to do farming and will be able to arrange his own food. It is also necessary to have at least initial resources for other needs. In the event of this, life's crisis may arise in front of him.
Money is not only a means to assess the value of goods, but money also determines the value of a person. This may sound a bit strange, but it is true in a different way. The value of a human being is determined by his work. He gets paid for working. The amount of money a person is earning and the amount of money that he is earning over time, is the only standard of increasing value and increasing importance of that man.
If the money is not big then the soil-carrying laborer would get more importance than the engineer who created the software because he is doing more manual labor. The nature of work and how many people are making a difference in that work, these things determine the importance of a person. The value of work, money and the value of the person are related and influenced by each other.
Suppose a person has created a value or importance in his work in a country like India and he has become able to meet his basic needs. Here he also has to take responsibility for education, health and safety himself. In any country of the West, apart from personal needs, the rest is the responsibility of the government, if it is not complete, then partly the government helps the people. We have a slightly different situation here. The government cannot be trusted for these three needs. If you want these facilities in better quality, then money will have to be spent. Every person in life needs to eat, wear, read and write, be healthy and safe. In such a situation, money is not big, how can it be said.
The height of money can also be understood from the fact that people are willing to spend money wildly to please God.
There is a general opinion about money that not everything can be bought with money. Things that cannot be bought with money also affect the money somewhere. For example, mother's love cannot be bought with money, but the mother also keeps giving her unemployed son with blessings. Of course, she does this for the child, but it also starts with earning money.
The same son, who was listening to taunts to sit at home during unemployment days, hears a loud rebuke for not taking time off after getting a job. This does not prove that any value of mother's love can be decided even in units of money or time. It can only be said that money plays a big role in maintaining good relationships. Yet money is not the biggest reason that money is of no use in building true relationships. That is why we can say that relationships can be made without money, but for their maintenance, some money is also needed.
The second thing that emerges the most is that time cannot be bought with money. True, but not entirely. The truth is that despite you have millions of rupees, what In the event of an accident or illness, you cannot secure your life even by applying millions of rupees for missed treatment time. Yes, but if all the circumstances are normal and you have a lot of money, then you can easily spend some time for yourself. If you have money, you will have resources for many personal works, people will be there. All these save you some time and energy.
Barring some ideal circumstances, money is the only thing that has the power to do a lot for us. Here money is not being called God, although God does not do all our work just like money and we also consider him big. The height of money can also be understood from the fact that people are willing to spend money wildly to please God. Therefore it is more correct to say that God is the greatest and money is very big.
